The Currabeg Loop starts in Kenmare and takes the N71 towards Glengarriff. As you cross Our Lady’s Bridge to your right you will see Kenmare Bay flow towards the Atlantic. After 300m take the road to the left follow this road for 1km (it is also possible to park at the Kenmare Old cemetery on your left) you will pass over Sheen River with the world famous Sheen Falls Hotel on your left. Take the first right after the Sheen Bridge follow the road for 1.5km and take a left turn at the crossroads.
Follow north for 1km while climbing slightly, take the next road to the right and after 2km take the left road at the junction. You will soon come to a decent after 2km take the left road at the T-junction. You are now cycling due west with the Roughty Valley on you right with occasional views of Mangerton mountain in the distance.
Take the left turn at the T-junction keeping the estuary on your right as you cycle towards Sheen Bridge, return to Kenmare remembering to take a right when you meet the N71.
